Daniel Baggerly Earns Top Ten in First Visit to Lake Cumberland;
Takes Upcoming Weekend Off
(WYTHEVILLE, VIRGINIA) Daniel Baggerly, of Wytheville, Virginia,
was back in Dirt Late Model competition on Saturday night, August
21 at the Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, Kentucky. The
Volunteer Racing Series (VRS) sanctioned a $3,000 to win show
on Saturday at LCS. In Daniel's first trip ever to the Kentucky
speedplant, he laid down the fastest lap in his group during qualifying
and later ran second in heat race action. After starting fifth
on the grid in the A-Main, Daniel battled a tight racecar throughout
the race, but still wound up with a solid ninth place showing.

Following the successful trip to the Commonwealth of Kentucky,
the #16 team has elected to take the upcoming August 27-28 weekend
off from racing action. They will sling dirt next on September
4-5 in the Peachtree State of Georgia. The North Georgia Speedway
in Chatsworth, Georgia will play host to a Volunteer Racing Series
(VRS) program on September 4, while the Rome Speedway in Rome,
Georgia will present the annual running of the 'Rome Boss' on
Sunday, September 5. Both shows will pay $3,000 to the winner
over the busy Labor Day holiday weekend. Keep up with Daniel's
