MAY 5, 2008 --- The B&B Motorsports
team was a fixture at the Cleveland County Speedway in Lawndale,
North Carolina last weekend to kick off their month of May!
Larry Blankenship unfortunately failed to make the starting
grid for the $5,000 to win Carolina Clash Late Model Series
show on Friday night, May 2, but had a better night on Saturday.
After finishing fifth in his B-Main on Saturday, Larry competed
in the $10,000 to win 'Skyler Trull Memorial.' The Mooresville,
North Carolina driver brought his #32 Barry Wright entry home
in the nineteenth position at the conclusion of the 58-lap
affair.
Dan Breuer was also behind the wheel of a brand new #16 Barry
Wright racecar for the weekend festivities at Lawndale. After
finishing fifteenth on Friday night, Dan scored an impressive
top ten finish during Saturday's 'Skyler Trull Memorial.'
Following a fourth place performance in his B-Main, Dan wheeled
his B&B Motorsports entry to an eighth place finish in
the $10,000 to win feature event. You can view complete results

APRIL 29, 2008 --- Larry Blankenship and
his #32 Dirt Late Model team invaded the Cleveland County
Speedway in Lawndale, North Carolina last Friday night, April
25. After timing in third quickest in qualifying, Larry rolled
off from the inside of the second row for the $1,500 to win
main event. With passing at a premium throughout the race,
the Mooresville, North Carolina native rode in line and conceded
a strong third place finish behind winner Johnny Pursley and
runner-up Jonathan Davenport.
Dan Breuer was then set to get behind the wheel of the #16
B&B Motorsports Crate Late Model on Saturday, April 26
at the Friendship (NC) Motor Speedway. However, Mother Nature
had other ideas and canceled the $2,000 to win Crate Late
Model event.
APRIL 24, 2008 --- Following a rare weekend
off from Dirt Late Model competition on April 18-19, the B&B
Motorsports team will be back out in full-force this upcoming
weekend! Larry Blankenship will bring his #32 Barry Wright
machine to the Cleveland County Speedway in Lawndale, North
Carolina on Friday night, April 25. A $1,500 to win Super
Late Model show is planned for tomorrow evening at the facility
formerly known as the Thunder Valley Raceway. For additional
information on this race, please visit www.clevelandcountyspeedway.com.
On Saturday, April 26, Larry will take the night off from
racing action and will instead travel to the Friendship Motor
Speedway in Elkin, North Carolina to assist on the #16 B&B
Motorsports entry. With Daniel Baggerly still recovering from
a freak incident to his right arm last week, he has asked
veteran driver Dan Breuer to fill in during his absence. Dan
will pilot a Crate Late Model for the Wytheville, Virginia
based race team on Saturday at Friendship, as a $2,000 top
prize is up for grabs. You can view more information on this
event online at www.friendshipmotorspeedway.net.
"Dan (Breuer) has an injured motor right now and my
arm is injured, so it was an easy decision for me to make,"
quoted Daniel Baggerly this week. "Dan has been such
a big help to me getting started in racing, so this is just
one way I can repay him while he gets his motor repaired.
Without Dan and Larry (Blankenship) acting as mentors, I do
not think I would have ever climbed into a Super Late Model."
APRIL
14, 2008 --- The B&B Motorsports team reached
victory lane for the first time in the young 2008 racing season
on Saturday night, April 12 at the 311 Speedway in Madison,
North Carolina! Larry Blankenship set fast time in qualifying
prior to the Twin 25s to earn the pole position for the first
25-lap affair. The Mooresville, North Carolina native was
very strong during the course of the first feature event,
as he led all 25 circuits to record the $2,500 top prize!
In the second Twin 25, the top seven cars were inverted,
which meant that Larry would roll off from the inside of the
fourth row. After only three laps, Larry pitted for a new
left rear tire and returned to the speedplant at the tail
end of the field. He then charged from the back of the pack
up to the fifth spot, which is where he ultimately finished.
Daniel Baggerly was also in action on Saturday evening at
311. The young Dirt Late Model chauffeur got a ton of experience
racing against some of the veterans at the historic North
Carolina venue. He finished eleventh in both $2,500 to win
events, but spent time inside of the top ten during both races.
